BSNL To Introduce Fixed Mobile Convergence Service Across the Country
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is going to start a new service namely fixed mobile convergence (FMC) service for its customers across the country to offer full connectivity with both cellular and landline with this network based service.
The fixed mobile convergence (FMC) is an innovative technology by which customers can connect both the mobile and land line telephones through a single telecommunication network. To enjoy FMC service, customers need to have a specialized handset with a dual mode so that they can easily connect their mobile and fixed (landline) telephones network.
About the launch of this exclusive service, BSNL director, Consumer Mobility, Mr. R K Agarwal said "Subscribers of BSNL will get the facility of the fixed mobile convergence that will provide a better user experience and convenience with full connectivity."
He added,"BSNL will launch its fixed mobile convergence facility to its subscribers once the mobile number portability (MNP) comes into effect".
