BSNL Launches 3G Mobile Service in Thanjavur, Tiruvarur & Virudhunagar

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. has launched its 3G mobile service in three sates of Tamilnadu. BSNL has introduced its 3G service in Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Virudhunagar.

With BSNL 3G mobile service, customers can enjoy high multimedia features like video calling, high speed Internet browsing, Live Mobile TV, Video SMS, & VoIP services.
Customers can avail the BSNL 3G SIM Card for Rs. 59. After the activation of SIM Card, prepaid customers have to recharge with FRC120. As an introductory offer, customers can enjoy 50 free video calls and free Data usage up to 25 Mb. Beyond free usage local calls will be charged at 30 paisa per minute and STD calls will be charged at 50 paisa per minute tariff rate.
Existing 2G prepaid customers can also migrate to 3G service by sending SMS M3G120 to 53733.
At the launch of 3G services, Mr Raja Reddy, General Manager, BSNL, Thanjavur, said “BSNL 3G Mobile and Data services up to 3.6 Mbps are available in Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Virudhunagar in the Tamilnadu telecom circle. Presently 17 BTS (mobile towers) are 3G enable in Thanjavur SSA and six sites in Tiruvarur and another 10 BTS will be installed in Thanjavur and 2 more in Tiruvarur to provide seamless 3G connectivity across the cities and surrounding areas of SSA.”
