Details of reduced tariff plans for Chennai and Tamil Nadu:

1.) Old Idea users can get the reduced tariff plan for Rs. 14 while the new users can get the plan for Rs. 37 with a talk time of Rs. 15.
Local Call Rate: 40 paisa per minute
STD Call Rate: 50 paisa per minute
Free SMS: 100 SMS (local and national)
Note: First two local SMS of the day will be charged @ 50 paisa per SMS while the free SMS option will be applicable from 3rd SMS.
2.) Idea has also announced the pay per second plan for the Idea users.
Existing Idea users can get the pay per second plan for Rs. 10 while the new users can avail the plan with a recharge of 38 which comes with a Rs. 15 talk time.
In pay per second plan all the local, STD and ISD calls will be charged at 1 paisa per second. Idea also offers 750 free SMS per day where as 1st 3 SMS of the day will be charged at 60 paisa per min.
For both the plans Idea also offers free services like one month zero monthly rental for Dialer Tone service, 7 days free Song selection and one month free Missed Call Information along with the activation of reduced tariff plan.
