Idea cellular has introduced the GSM services in Kolkata today. New Idea users can get the starter kit for only Rs. 49 with life time validity. Idea users can use rate cutter recharge of Rs. 51. The local call rate then will be 30 paisa per minute and STD calls will be 60 paisa per minute for 1st month. For the next 11months, the call rates will be 40 paisa per minute local and 60 paisa per min. for STD calls. Idea users can enjoy the SMS at 60 paisa per SMS all over the country.

Last month Kolkata has the highest growth rate in GSM service than any other metro cities in India. With the launch of new GSM service, Idea Cellular, the Aditya Birla Group Company, is going to make its grip stronger in Kolkata.
