A few days back, MTNL had reduced 3G activation charges for its Prepaid Mumbai users. Now, MTNL Mumbai postpaid users can activate 3G on their phones at the activation charges of Rs.149 instead of Rs.300

Details of MTNL Reduced Activation Postpaid Rates Scheme:
1.) For New Customers: To avail MTNL 3G services users have to choose 2G Dolphin Plan and dial 1503 (Toll Free) or send SMS ACT 3G on 555. Users will be charged Rs. 149 as first time activation charges.
2.) For Existing Customers: Existing customers can activate the 3G services by dialing 1503 (Toll Free) number or users can also send a SMS ACT 3G to 555. Users will be charged activation charges of Rs. 149.
Tariff Details for New & Existing Customers:
One time activation charges: Rs. 149
Local/ STD / ISD voice call rate: As per existing Dolphin tariff plan
Local and national SMS rate: As per existing Dolphin tariff plan
Local video calls to own network, call rate: Rs. 0.60 per minute
Local video calls to other networks: Rs. 0.90 per minute
STD video call rate: Rs. 0.90 per minute
ISD video call rate: Rs. 30 per minute
3G data charges: Rs. 2 per MB (Pulse of 10 KB)
Incoming video call rate while in roaming: Rs. 1.80 per minute
Local outgoing video call rate while in roaming: Rs. 3 per minute
STD outgoing call rate while in roaming: Rs. 4 per minute
Data usage charges while in roaming: Rs.1 per 100 KB
