Videocon Launches GSM Mobile Service Now in Punjab & Haryana
Videocon, the latest entrant in the telecom industry, has launched its GSM mobile service in Punjab and Haryana circles.
Videocon is planning to launch its service in 100 cities over 100 days. Company is planning to invest Rs.800 crore in the two states and would invest around Rs.14,000 crore in mobile services over the next three years.
Videocon is intending to cover 100 per cent of the urban population and 75 per cent of the rural population of Punjab and Haryana in the upcoming months.
Venugopal Dhoot, chairman of Videocon group, said, "We are very delighted to launch the services in Punjab and Haryana. Over 160 million users across India have trusted the Videocon brand over the past 24 years and we want to take forward this trust in other sectors."
