Virgin Mobile Launches Its GSM Services in 5 Telecom Circles
Virgin Mobile has now launched its GSM service in 5 telecom circles in South India.
Virgin Mobile has started GSM service in Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. However, the company is planning for introducing GSM service in Maharashtra, Orissa and North India by March 2010.
Virgin Mobile introduces GSM Service with Per Second Plan and a Per Minute Plan. Users can get the starter kit worth Rs. 49 with lifetime validity and avail any of the plans.
Virgin Mobile GSM users with Per Minute Plan can make on net local and STD calls at 20 paisa per minute tariff rate. While other local calls will be charged at 40 paisa per minute and STD calls will be charged at 50 paisa per minute. Virgin Mobile GSM users with Per Second Plan can make all local and STD calls at 1 paisa per second tariff rates.
Virgin Mobile has also introduced three SMS packs worth Rs. 33, Rs. 34 and Rs. 69 for its users.
